Videoticino was born in November 2020, when Demis and Michele Muscatello, coming from a long television career in Italy, decided to start talking about the canton of Ticino, bringing the experience of 20 years of successful TV and web productions across the border, with a dynamic and informal style. The area immediately responded positively to this video story, so much so that in just a few weeks it generated thousands of users on its television website. A few months later the entire project attracted the interest of Swiss E-Motion, a Swiss company already producing films and TV series for RSI and specialized personnel for TeleTicino, which acquired the brand and ownership of Videoticino, keeping the two Muscatello brothers who in complete freedom and autonomy develop formats, interviews and television specials, involving local institutions, commercial activities and associative and cultural realities in the Ticino area. The diffusion of what can be considered to all intents and purposes a modern web television has simultaneously allowed the dissemination of the production and marketing services of Videoticino, leading it to be not only a tool for media dissemination and entertainment, but also a real driving force advertising for many partner businesses. The Videoticino project is developed on a multi-year plan which aims to become the first private television entity in Ticino by 2026.
